need help with PCAP

Hi,
   I have collected some 802.11 data in a pcap file format. I need to build 
some distributions by reading the PCAP file. 

Please help me with any info about trying to program a PCAP reader. Is 
the source code already available anywhere?

Any link which helps me understand PCAP file format and how to use will also 
be a great help.
