You might want to have "dag_get_datalink()" fill in the error string, 
rather than doing it in "dag_open_live()" if "dag_get_datalink()" 
returns -1 - that way, it can put the DAG linktype value into the error 
message it returns (so that it'll show up in, for example, the error 
message window in Ethereal).
