Re: tcpdump dropping packets

I am using Red Hat 9 with kernel 2.4.20 so i dont have the
rtprio command.  I tried using nice with various (in the -10 
to -20 range) priorities.  This did help lower packet loss,
but bandwidth also suffered.

Under FreeBSD, I have had success with rtprio:

  rtprio 10 tcpdump -i ...
