Talos is aware of vulnerabilities affecting products from Microsoft
Corporation.

Microsoft Vulnerability CVE-2023-35359:
A coding deficiency exists in Microsoft Windows Kernel that may lead to
an escalation of privilege.

Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities are included in
this release and are identified with:
Snort 2: GID 1, SIDs 62210 through 62211,
Snort 3: GID 1, SID 300650.

Microsoft Vulnerability CVE-2023-35380:
A coding deficiency exists in Microsoft Windows Kernel that may lead to
an escalation of privilege.

Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities are included in
this release and are identified with:
Snort 2: GID 1, SIDs 62208 through 62209,
Snort 3: GID 1, SID 300649.

Microsoft Vulnerability CVE-2023-35382:
A coding deficiency exists in Microsoft Windows Kernel that may lead to
an escalation of privilege.

this release and are identified with:

Microsoft Vulnerability CVE-2023-35386:
A coding deficiency exists in Microsoft Windows Kernel that may lead to
an escalation of privilege.

Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities are included in
this release and are identified with:
Snort 2: GID 1, SIDs 62215 through 62216,
Snort 3: GID 1, SID 300652.

Microsoft Vulnerability CVE-2023-36900:
A coding deficiency exists in Microsoft Windows Common Log File System
Driver that may lead to an escalation of privilege.

Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities are included in
this release and are identified with:
Snort 2: GID 1, SIDs 40689 through 40690,
Snort 3: GID 1, SIDs 40689 through 40690.

Talos also has added and modified multiple rules in the file-identify,
file-other, indicator-compromise, malware-other and server-webapp rule
sets to provide coverage for emerging threats from these technologies.
