I have this answer :

locate libdnet.1
locate: can not stat () `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db': No such file or directory

My folder of rpm programs are /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/lib64

I run in the good folder but I happen an error :

/usr/local/lib# ln -S /usr/local/lib/libdnet.so.1.0.1 /usr/local/lib/libdnet.1
ln: /usr/local/lib/libdnet.1: hard link not allowed for directory

What must I do now ?

Run the commands

Locate libdnet.1
This will produce the locations of the file


ln -s (/usr/lib64/libdnet.so.1.0.1 /usr/lib64/libdnet.1)

**relative paths will vary upon installation so plug in your path

Example:



/usr/local/lib# ls -lah   (this will give you the permissions and owner of the file) you may have to chown the file if 
it does not have proper permissions.
