I've tryed to build snort3-261 with libdaq v.3.0.0-alpha2 and have
configure problem:

1)snort configure tests daq existence by checking symbol daq_load_modules,
but this symbol exists only in old daqs
2) in new daq3.0.0-alpha2 there are 2 such symbols: daq_load_static_modules
and ..._dynamic_modules.

May be need to fix configure.ac in snort for checking
daq_load_static/dynamic? Because even in snort3-261 source it uses
daq_load_dyn/static_modules.

The latest libdaq code is just as stable as the latest Snort++ code. You
should use both.

Yes 256 is start of DAQ3 (DAQng: Port Snort and its DAQ modules to DAQ3).
When is expected to release new snort-beta on snort.org and when
aproxim-ly DAQ3 will be released as beta/or stable ?

Hello!
I want to use newest Snort+, now I have 247 build.
But with 261 build used daq-3.0alpha (libdaq).

What is the latest build of Snort+ with daq-2.2.2 (latest stable DAQ) ?
