Thanks for the ask, we are planning to support Windows-10 and will also bring out a tutorial on that.
If possible, we will probably have Snort 2.9.15 support windows10.

It would be great if the Snort development team would release a tutorial to compile Snort on Windows. Right now there 
are some old tutorials out that used to be able to compile, but Visual Basic has evolved past those directions.

To Snort Developers. Can you PLEAE drop 32bit support for Windows Snort in place of 64bit, PLEASE!

I have download Snort 2.9.9.0 source code and tried to run it on VS 2013 using Win-Prj in win32. It first migrated and 
then failed. My operating system is Windows 7 64bit. I need to compile it as part of my task. Any help???
