Subject: [Snort-users] Snort3: side-channel and connectors

Hello, for what reason to use side-channel and connectors? I read that they need to send and receive messages from/to
outside world (SideChannel Apps) and snort.

I understand the side_channel and connectors configuration, but can not understand reason and details of such
installations.

How I can specify what messages are sent from/to snort ? And what means outside world - what are these SideChannel
applications that cat interact with snort side_channel subsystem (is this some other software?) ? If this is some
extra software - can you please give some examples of such Software ?

Thanks.
