where are stored the snort 3 logs

hello evry one ,
i am beginner in snort i shall use it for detection mod for this i am
runing this command snort -c snort.lua - inside.tcpdum -l /var/snort/log
but when i open the  /var/snort/log i found any logs ,how can i know the
number of detection that was mad
