Dynamic preprocessor error

Hi,

I just started learning how to write a dynamic preprocessor in Snort. I
began compiling an example preprocessor that comes with Snort source
using the following command:
/gcc -g -shared `pkg-config --cflags --libs snort_preproc` spp_example.c
-o libsf_dynamic_examples.so/

It got compiled successfully, but Snort throws some errors and refused
to start. I also added and verified my preprocessor configuration under
snort.conf. Can anyone say what I am missing or what I am doing wrong here?
