1. Wait until the ruleset for Snort 2.9.8.2 is released, or
2. Re-compile back to Snort 2.9.8.0.

Those are the only options I am aware of. As a tip, always check and verify upgrade requirements before committing to a 
production upgrade :).

Unprocessable entity means there is nothing to process, i.e: ruleset for Snort 2.9.8.2 is not yet released. You can 
checksnort.org/advisories<http://snort.org/advisories> and see if there is one for Snort 2.9.82.

And in case if you are wondering, ruleset 2.9.8.0 will not work with Snort 2.9.8.2 since the dynamic engines are 
different (2.4 vs 2.6).
