Query on Snort and kill -usr1

Hi

When I use "pkill snort" on my machine snort logs even the worst performing
rules in my sensor.

However when I try to kill snort with "kill -usr1 snortPID" it logs many
line however it does not log the top 100 worst performing rules.  Is there
some other kill parameter which I need to send it ?
