Understood.

So, slight secret…  When the blog posts are done (blog.snort.org<http://blog.snort.org>) for each rule release, they 
are tagged with the versions they apply to.  I know that doesn’t help much, but I figure I’d drop that out there for 
you.  2.9.8.0 should come out next release I think.
