Snort++ runtime error: Undefined symbol "open_table"

Folks, having an issue running snort.

o")~   Snort++ 3.0.0-a2-172

Loading /opt/etc/snort/snort.lua:
FATAL: /opt/include/snort/lua/snort_config.lua:76: Undefined symbol "open_table"
Fatal Error, Quitting..

My OS is FreeBSD 10.2 64-bit.  Built with ./configure_cmake.sh then make -j 8 install.  This is as far as I can get in 
running snort beyond the help options.
