Can you attach your config.log? It should not be trying to build the netmap DAQ module on FreeBSD 8.x due to missing the required headers (Netmap was integrated into FreeBSD starting with version 10.0).

When you run configure, you should see something like this:

...
checking net/netmap_user.h usability... no
checking net/netmap_user.h presence... no
checking for net/netmap_user.h... no
...

NetMap Module Error in FreeBSD 8.x/9.x

Hi All,

Here is an error which I encountered when building DAQ-2.0.4 on FreeBSD 8.x (64-Bit):

If I use ./configure --disable-netmap-module, it builds fine, is there
something I am missing here? This did not occur under DAQ-2.0.2, btw.

This issue does not occur in FreeBSD 9.x for DAQ-2.0.4, btw.
