I run snort with different config files and different output 
directories/files

snort -c -D internalsnort.conf (which would log to say 
/var/log/snort/internal and /var/log/snort/internal.fast
snort -c -D externalsnort.conf (which would log to say 
/var/log/snort/external and /var/log/snort/external.fast
