Louis, you can also check out the Manual at the link below... It's a PDF file and has very detailed information, and a 
whole section on logging. Make sure to check out section "2.6 Output Modules", just about everything you'd need to know 
about logging for Snort is in there.

I want to ask if would be possible to send all snort syslog-messages to another log file (not /var/log/messages). ¿
