Adding new fast pattern matching software

Hi,

Is there any simple way of adding fast matching software to snort ??
At present i am compiling my pattern matching code [.ch] files by hacking
the Makefile.in in src/sfutil/ and src/. Also i have changed mpse.c to call
my functions instead of existing snort's fast pattern matching software.
