We have snorted.com configured in Base as the reference link for Snort
SID:GID lookups.

Normally, I don’t use it, but accidentally clicked on it, and it looks
like snortid.com was not renewed and may have been taken over.

When I got to the website I was told I may have been infected by the
BACKDOOR.POISON.BQA virus.

Just a heads up. I have changed my Base configuration to go to 127.0.0.1
instead of snortid.com

Just wanted to pass the word.

Thanks, I'll add it to my list of updates piling up.

Currently at Splunk .conf2013 in Las Vegas (talking tomorrow and
Thursday, look for the handsome guy).

When I get back home from this summer of stress I'm taking a week off. I
want to put out a final patch update for BASE and possibly get out the
beta for my next way cooler project.

That's what vacations are for, right? :-)

Why don’t we point at Snort.org? That’s why we put the docs up there.
