They are commented out, but I would have to do some research on manually
editing the conf. Since snort is integrated into pfsense configuring and
editing the config file is done differently than if you had a dedicated

with another firewall product that uses a secure method of starting snort

altering its startup command line options is not something to be done any
time

Since pfsense is BSD-derived, you might try to take a look in /etc/rc.conf.
the built in rc script that you has access to would probably be looking
there for much of its config info.
