Solved. It was a confirmed syslog issue.

I'm not sure if I have a snort problem or a syslog problem.

As soon as I move the server from DHCP to static IP address Syslog quits sending off data. If I move it back it 
immediately starts working again. Both addresses were 10.0.0.0 network addresses. 

Anyone have ideas?
