snort rule post-detection options: logto

hi.i write a rule in local.rules: "alert icmp 10.10.7.2 any -> 10.10.8.2 any (msg:"logto option";logto: 
"logto-packets";sid:1000001;)
according to snort 2.9.3.1 manual:this option tell snort that logging all packets that trigger this rule
but this rule dont work.what is the problem?
