snort.stats analysis

I've been looking online (using a popular search tool) for scripts that will analyze the snort.stats file, and there 
seems to be not much available. Has anyone done anything homebuilt (so to speak) to provide some human-readable info? 
I'm perfectly willing to start working on a Perl script that will parse and reduce this but if someone already has such 
a thing I'd rather not produce Wheel Mk II.
