Sourcefire VRT Certified Snort Rules Update

Synopsis:
This release adds and modifies rules in several categories and includes
detection for a Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability in Samba.

Details:
Samba Remote Code Execution (CVE-2012-1182):
The RPC code generator in certain versions of Samba does not correctly
validate an array length. This error may allow remote attackers to
execute code on an affected system.

A rule to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability is included in
this release and is identified with GID 1, SID 21806.

Additionally, the Sourcefire VRT has added and modified multiple rules
in the exploit, file-identify, file-office, indicator-compromise and
web-client rule sets to provide coverage for emerging threats from
these technologies.
