Most of the pre-requisites are defaults of the base perl build.  That said,
some are not or are omitted for various reasons.. there is some info here:
http://code.google.com/p/pulledpork/wiki/FAQ.  As to SWITCH, if you are
running a newer version of perl that has already removed this, then update
your pulledpork to the version that's in SVN right now, as that has removed
SWITCH and uses a local function in it's place.  Syslog is only required if
you log to syslog...
