As requested by many members of the community, a chart for the End-of-life for Snort rule versions is now posted on our EOL Policy page: http://www.snort.org/vrt/rules/eol_policy. As a reminder, posted earlier on the blog today, (http://blog.snort.org), Snort 2.8.6.1 will cease to be supported as of tomorrow (2011-11-23). So the upcoming rule build will be the last version with 2.8.6.1 in it. Please note that "TBD" in the chart stands for "To Be Determined". -- Joel Esler Senior Research Engineer, VRT OpenSource Community Manager Sourcefire ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more.
