Installing snort

I followed the documentation for Installing the latest version on Ubuntu 10.04. No luck. I don't get an etc directory in /usr/local/snort. That means no config file. Am I missing something? I've tried this a few times. Now I'm thinking of using the ubuntu package. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2d-c2 _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users Please see http://www.snort.org/docs for documentation
