Good day all,

I am trying to configure SNORT 2.9.0.1 on UBUNTU 10.10.
I am using the Snort 2.9.0 and Snort Report 1.3.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Installation Guide from Snort website.

When I complete the following command:

snorttest:~$ sudo /usr/local/snort/bin/snort -u snort -g snort -C /usr/local/snort/etc/snort.conf -i eth0

I get this error:

/usr/local/snort/bin/snort: error while loading shared libraries: libdnet.1: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory

I believe I followed the instructions to a "t".

find /usr -name "libdnet*" -print

/usr/lib/libdnet.1
/usr/local/lib/libdnet.1.0.1
/usr/local/lib/libdnet.a
/usr/local/lib/libdnet.1
/usr/local/lib/libdnet.la
/usr/local/lib/libdnet

Any help would be appreciated.
