Details: Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-070: The Microsoft .NET Framework discloses enough information in error responses that an attacker is able to decrypt and modify encrypted data. Previously released rules to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability have been updated with the appropriate reference and are identified with GID 3, SIDs 17428 and 17429. Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-071: Microsoft Internet Explorer contains programming errors that may allow a remote attacker to execute code on an affected system. Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities are included in this release and are identified with GID 3, SIDs 17766 through 17774 Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-072: Microsoft Internet Explorer contains a programming error that may allow a remote attacker to perform a cross-site scripting attack against an affected system. Rules to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability are included in this release and are identified with GID 3, SIDs 17766 and 17767. Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-075: Microsoft Windows Media Player contains a programming error that may allow a remote attacker to execute code on an affected system. A rule to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability is included in this release and is identified with GID 3, SID 17753. Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-076: Microsoft Internet Explorer contains a programming error that may allow a remote attacker to execute code on an affected system. A rule to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability is included in this release and is identified with GID 3, SID 17747. Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-078: The Microsoft implementation for parsing OpenType fonts contains a programming error that may allow a remote attacker to execute code on an affected system. Rules to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability are included in this release and are identified with GID 3, SIDs 17752 and 17765. Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-079: Microsoft Word contains a programming error that may allow a remote attacker to execute code on an affected system. A rule to detect attacks targeting this vulnerability is included in this release and is identified with GID 3, SID 17756. Microsoft Security Advisory MS10-080: Microsoft Excel contains programming errors that may allow a remote attacker to execute code on an affected system. Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities are included in this release and are identified with GID 3, SIDs 17757 through 17764.
