ip address error

This post is regarding my earlier post on "ip address error". From Joel
Esler's reply, i looked at BASE forums. There i found a post regarding a bug
in "base_payload.php" file. They had provided a patch for this bug. Using
thi patch, i downloaded in pcap format.And it worked.
The problem that now i understand is that Snort saves all IP addresses as
binary integers in the database (Snort 2.1 second edition, chapter7, p371).
So when reading from mysql database, BASE was unable to convert it back to
IPv4 addresses.
