I'm a little confused on something.

I am installing snort 2.8.6.1

 

In the snort/doc/INSTALL document it shows Snort Configure-time switches. 

In the snort/etc/snort.conf from snortrules-snapshot-2860.tar it shows a
different set of build options. 

 

Is there a difference between the two?
