Well, I guess if no bad guys come in via the VPN, I guess we should
all just use VPNs and be done with this security nonsense.

Just don't have the VPN network in HOME_NET, all the information you
need with examples, is in the documentation, the snort.conf that comes
with the tarball distribution and in the FAQ.
