Portscans not logging?????

It seems that portscans are not being logged with 2.8.3.2. It seems that the
user placed the 2.8.0.2 binary file in place of the 2.8.3.2 and it is now
logging portscans using the same configuration file.

Is this a known bug or has there been some sort of change between the two
versions?
