Barnyard/base problem?

so I set up BASE and snort.  Works great.   Wanted to set up unified logging
and barnyard.

On the BASE front page I get no events listed.

If I go under "Cache & Status" in Base, I show 99000 Total Events in the
Alert Information Cache.

What am I missing?
