Secure Connection - Barnyard -> DB

Greetings, all. I have a question to probe your experience and opinions on
the following subject.

What do you use to secure the connection between Barnyard and your
database of choice?

On Linux and OpenBSD I use Stunnel. However, Stunnel is a pain to get
working on Solaris. I'd like to use PostgreSQL's native SSL, but Barnyard
doesn't support that as a client. VPN/IPsec seems overkill. SSH? Anything
else?

Thanks!
Randy
