dynamicdetection rules

  How do I enable dynamicdetection rules? I have "dynamicdetection
file <path-to/file.so>" in config. But I get "DynamicPlugin: Rule
[<N>:<M>] not enabled in configuration, rule will not be used."
messages when SNORT is starting. Am I missing something? Did the
homework -- searched SNORT manual and src/doc/README*, but found
nothing.
  Anyone with the clue?
