Updating Snort from version 2.6.0 to 2.6.1.2

hi,
I'm running Snort 2.6.0 on Centos 4.3 and I would like to know how should I proceed to update Snort to version 2.6.1.2
can I do it using yum? or I need to download a new gz file for 2.6.1.2 and replace the old directory?
