reducing false positives --- quidscor

I am very new to snort and I am having a lot of false positives from
the localhost (web transations). originating from localhost. I guess
that is a good idea to not check the locally sent packeges at all, how
can I modify the rules to do that ?

Has anybody tried Quidscor to reduce false positives ?

How well does it perform ?

And if there is any guide or article on how to reduce false positives
in snort I would really appreciate if you would let me know.
