snort alert

i try nmap 192.168.0.1/24
and alert is ok
and i can read my report in html

just a question
i ve configured snort to work on eth0 ,my local network which is 
192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.3
do i add my internet connection ip which is eth1 ?
