I have gotten some alerts from an outside IP to an inside web-server here for sig 520 TFTP root directory - but it's on port 80?? Is that possible??
alert udp $EXTERNAL_NET any -> $HOME_NET 69 (msg:"TFTP root directory"; content:"|0001|/"; offset:0; depth:3; reference:arachnids,138; reference:cve,CVE-1999-0183; classtype:bad-unknown; sid:520; rev:2;)
Yep that would in fact be impossible.. Sounds like mangling of alerts in snort, something which has been a problem with some snort versions in the past..
