Snort Sensor

Hello,

 

I have been reading through all the documentation and I have not found an
answer to the following question:

Can I have Mysql live on a different box than snort?

 

The one test I performed without the "./configure
-with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql" Provided me with a "Sockets Failure".

I did change the location of the Database in the snort.conf.

 

Any thoughts?
