No, the problem is that the configure script isn't finding the required mysql libs and includes. Try doing a `make distclean` at the root of your snort src and rerunning the configure script. Pay particular attention to the output of: "checking for mysql..." If the mysql libs are found then when you compile snort, you'll see the switch "-DENABLE_MYSQL" being passed to the compiler when you run `make`. Bammkkkk
