ditto had other taps and pulled my hairs out trying to get them working
reliably(they never came back).
netoptics work great for me and the support is excellent.

I'm using NetOptics -- www.netoptics.com and so far in almost 2 years they
never failed on me. They are quite expensive (300$/each), but combined with
port mirroring on Cisco switches 3500 they work great.

Could anyone recommend a brand of taps to use, Are they expensive?. Also in
a heavily switched network with a limited number of taps where do you deploy
them outside of the obvious positions (link to FW, Mail Server)
