Startup Problem

Hello All,
When I try starting up snort, I am getting the error "error while loading 
shared libraries: libpcre.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such 
file or directory"

The libs are in /usr/lib and there is also a link as such: libpcrce.so.3 
-> libpcre.so.3.03

Any ideas out there?
