Depends on what output plugins you are using.. by default you should wind 
up with a text output logfile in /var/log/snort/alert as your output..

you probably need to create a snort subdir in /var/log first however.

Of course, if you're using syslog or mysql output, well, the output will 
wind up wherever syslog or mysql puts them, and that's up to those tools, 
not snort.
