My ldd output looks good for my sensors.
I guess everything is fine, but you made a little typo. See these two lines:
[root@ids1 ~]$ ldd /usr/local/snort/bin/snort
[root@ids1 conf]$ /usr/local/bin/snort -o -de -i eth1 -c /usr/local/demarc/conf/snorteth1.conf
The first time you are using /usr/local/snort/bin/snort which contains the snmp-plugin, the second call refers to /usr/local/bin/snort which definitely does not contain the plugin. Just use the correct path and you are done ;-) Cheers, Ralf -- Ralf Spenneberg RHCE, RHCX Book: Intrusion Detection für Linux Server http://www.spenneberg.com IPsec-Howto http://www.ipsec-howto.org Honeynet Project Mirror: http://honeynet.spenneberg.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
