Snort on RH 9 question

I have a snort on RH9 with acid working on a test network and now am
considering putting in production.  When I do so, there will be a need
to change the IP and secure the box.  I was thinking of using bastille
to secure the box (good/bad idea?) and beside chaning the IF ip address
and the net settings for the snort.conf but is that all I need to change
or am I over looking something?
