Setting up the rules path in snort.conf

["Tilley, Ernie D." <EDTilley () co pg md us>]

When I attempt to run snort for intrusion detection I continue to get the error message that the rules cannot be found.

The statement in snort.conf file is:

var Rule_Path c:\Snort\rules

which is exactly where the default rules are installed.
