I've not seen any comparisons of the various products and what features 
they have.

However as far as expertise goes, I doubt any company that makes snort 
boxes knows snort nearly as well as Sourcefire.

Admittedly that doesn't mean they make the best commercial snort sensor (I 
have no basis to judge that) but it does mean they have the expertise in 
house to fully understand snort and build a great product from that knowledge.
