SPADE and SPICE experience

Hi all,

I want to try SPADE and SPICE with snort. I have heard
it is not very successfull, it gives a lot of
ambiguous and false positives. Some say it reduces the
IDS performance a lot, on contrary Symantec has
Manhunt which they say it works at 2GBPS with anomaly
detection engine. 

Any successes, experiences, comments?
